Bhutto in a photo taken shortly after leaving Oxford University. The former Pakistani leader, who was often attacked in Pakistan for her pro-western lifestyle, also studied at Harvard University. Her family owned estates in Larkana in rural Sind Province and a palatial home in Karachi. As a youngster she watched and learned as her American-educated father developed his political career.
